I wrote this song in January 2021. Lockdown has taken away a whole year, a whole age from us so I decided to write a song on how I felt, personally, about missing out on what everyone else, pre-pandemic, got to do at the age of seventeen. Whilst this song is personal to me, we’ve all had things we’ve missed out on. This is a universal experience, one we’ve all been sharing, despite our differences, for the last year or so and I wanted it to resonate with people besides myself and my age group, which is why I feel my song is symbolic of this time.
