Reach Out, Now Everyone!

In May 2020 we were meant to be running the Monster Mayhem festival in East London. Because of coronavirus this was not possible so our funders agreed for us to deliver the festival online. I was sitting in my flat in East London with my own two young children thinking about this frustrating situation we were in. I thought about the children in E3 who would be looking out of their own windows and I had the overwhelming feeling of wanting to ‘Reach Out’ and reassure them. Usually I record the Artburst songs with my writing partner, musician Antony Elvin, but as we were not allowed to record together he recorded the song with his children from home .
