Love Life in Lockdown (Rishi Mix) by Tim Marshall

Original Song

Written during the first week of the lockdown in March 2020 and recorded and released 1 April 2020. Rishi Sunak was largely unheard of at that time having only recently been appointed Chancellor, just delivered a budget (11th March) and worn a hoodie. The slogan was "Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives". I decided that I'd write a song that played with the slogan, heavily featured the new star of the Cabinet, Rishi Sunak, and included as many coronavirus- (as we tended to call it then) related words and phrases as I could manage. I'm quite pleased with how I rhymed "furlough" and idiotically proud of "curfew". And one year on we did kind of get used to life in quarantine and just about managed to vaccinate the $#!? out of Covid 19. So it was prophetic as well as exceptionally funny.
