Living In A Lockdown

I wrote this song in April 2020, just after the first lockdown came into force, I’m British, born in Hinckley, Leicestershire, but I have been living in Malaga, Spain for 28 years, I live alone in a rural property, close to a small village. I remember how surreal everything felt, all of the news channels 24/7, reporting on the situation and how serious it was. But I think it was the emptiness of the streets and seeing everything closed that initially struck me the most. It all seemed to happen so suddenly a complete change to the way of life that happened overnight, like I say in the opening line of my song, “awoke from a bad dream of covid 19”
