We’re Coming Home… means a lot us at Ideas Test and to everyone involved, as it brings back happy memories of being part of something wonderful.
Part of our Sea Folk Sing project in 2019, the song was written and sung by the Sea Folk Sing Choir – people aged 55+ from across Medway and Swale in North Kent, and local musicians & songwriters.
This song is about the natural beauty of the Isle of Sheppey and The Swale tidal channel.
During 2020, we ran Zoom workshops to keep the Sea Folk Sing legacy alive and to keep spirits up during Lockdown, which were also nominated for an Heart For The Arts 2021 award.
We plan to perform all the Sea Folk Sing songs live at local festivals and events in autumn 2021.
