As our church, St Chad’s Romiley, was forced into meeting and worshipping online, I was asked if I could compose some music so people could join in saying The Lords Prayer in a new way. I decided we would sing it! I wrote a melody, then realised it could be harmonised like a choral piece. So my wife, two sons, daughter and I all sang multiple vocal tracks. My daughter Rose offered a few extra harmonies which really influenced the sound, so she gets co-composer credit! Since we recorded it, churches around the country have used it, and it’s been played on a national radio station. We hope it brings a form of blessing to anyone who hears it. Mark Warburton
