I wrote this song during the first lock down. A friend was helping with production, but he was hit with lock down blues and had to stop.

I have been lucky to keep working as a mental health nurse, and I enjoyed the clean air and the quiet. I feel different a year later, especially after a member of our team died of COVID.

I was thinking about the different experiences, in door and out door. About how hard we find it to think about death, and to accept it. And remembering “Ring-a-Ring o’Roses”, & wondering how songs might recall this pandemic, perhaps centuries later.
