Hi,
This is a song I wrote and recorded last year for my second CD 'Winter Deep' and raised money for the Woodland Trust. I read the words of the poem, 'The Peace of Wild Things' by Wendell Berry and his words really resonated with how I feel about the healing benefits of nature. This has become incredibly important during lockdown for everybody and we have all recognised the value and necessity of stepping outside and taking in what is around us. I wanted to write a song to bring a sense of calm and comfort and to take people outside their front door into the wild. I wrote a letter to Wendell over Lockdown to see if I could promote it to local radio stations and he said 'Yes' and it has now been played on BBC Radio York, Tempo FM and YO1Session. I hope you enjoy it too.
