Lockdown Blues - Ricky Biscuits and the Infanta Castillas

This song was written and recorded during the initial creative rush and strange personal freedom created by the lockdown. Having evacuated from London with my pregnant wife, I was exiled from my home studio, and rediscovered the joys of electronic music creation on Reason. There was a bitttersweet element to lockdown. Despite the fear and suffering, there was a rare chance to escape from the routines of modern life:
I didn’t have to go to work today…got no lockdown blues
I didn’t have to get dressed up today…got no lockdown blues
I didn’t have to get the tube today…got no lockdown blues
I got to stay at home today…got no lockdown blues
I want to stay on these lockdown rules
I’d rather live with the lockdown blues
Than go back to the normal rules
So give me those lockdown blues!
