The song was written in April 2020 during the lockdown period when I was confined to my house. In my own mind I thought ” surely someone has to write a Lockdown Blues song”. It was only later when I searched Youtube that I realised that the inevitability that many others had had exactly the same thought in responding with words & music to the isolation. So I set myself the additional challenge of producing a music video of the song as live. This included filming with 2 cameras the live recording of myself singing vocals & playing bass, acoustic, dobro guitars & banjo as if I was several members of my own “BAND of ME” & editing the result . My son also managed to record the drum track on his phone. The film is meant to be tongue in cheek to amuse.
