Lets See What The Earth Has To Say - Emma Gale

I wrote this song in March 2020, a week after the first lockdown had been announced. I didn’t intend to write a lockdown song but I was thinking it’s amazing how things can change so quickly in one day. The news was reporting that the borders were closing, people were going to be locked down and that had never happened in our lifetime. It was quite distressing. I also wanted to highlight in that despite humans thinking that we are in control of our lives, we aren’t. I was thinking about how the earth is fighting back with climate change and how there are blue skies over China during lockdown and deer resting in front gardens in Romford in Essex. The earth is definitely in control, so we will have to wait to see if we have done enough.
