I'm a barrister and one of the consequences of lockdown is that all court hearings have been happening by Zoom (or equivalents). People facing having their children, homes or freedom taken away, or victims of domestic violence facing their abusers for the first time since they separated, now find themselves sitting alone and on view in their living rooms while the court proceedings go on remotely in cyberspace. As a result, half of the job at the moment is finding ways to let clients know that, although they never get to meet you in person, they've still got someone fighting their corner. That's all we've all been doing in the pandemic, really.
