Mum – Gena O’Brien at 95 years young, her last year on this earth started singing this song. Her memory – short term was causing her problems. “I can’t remember” she would say about the date, the prime ministers name or whether she had had one or more husbands.

I wrote the words of the song out for her and I to learn – we were doing that during Lockdown, to keep the brain active! I visited her regularly during Lockdown 3, I didn’t’ know the song but the words meant we both had a weep. Now I have the words and the song to think about.
