People who are weak or frail often seem to succomb in January. Hold On To The Spring is meant as support for those struggling in the winter – and this pandemic winter in particular. My 94 year old mother lives in Rutland, so I had her in mind when I wrote it, but it was meant for anyone who could use some emotional support. And since climate change seems to be making the transitions between seasons more unpredicatable and less clear cut, the song also encourages inner strength. The sound of a real human heart beat (no-one I know) is included in the mix. My lyric video contains mild flickering light effects.
