Closing down - SamrGibson

My partner Sam wrote this in the first lockdown, we filmed it after a couple of takes in the garden. Sam had been complaining of hip problems back in May. We Thought he needed a hip replacement .Then by the end of June, he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour .Two weeks previously he just couldn’t get his fingers to move properly to play his guitar. He died on 18th Dec 2020 .

We got married when he came out of hospital on 25th July, again in the garden with all our musician friends from Donegal there.

He had fought for social justice his whole life and even in Hospital he was campaigning for the nurses and low paid carers who looked after him .He dictated letters to me to write to Care managers about their low pay .
