a song of sadness
This song was written in response to all the suffering people are experiencing as a result of the virus. This goes out to all those kept apart from the ones they love, those who are isolated and feeling extreme loneliness, to those who have lost someone and to those who have lost their lives, at a time when they need their loved ones the most.
At this point we have all experienced the effects of separation and will have known someone lost to the virus.
I am a music therapist and work with music to help people express themselves. I lost a client living in a care home to the virus and by writing this song, it helped me in processing the grief around this difficult time.
